Voltage Condition Test
1. Using the alligfator test leads, connect each clip to the output wires under test.
2. The four LED's (red, yellow, green, blue) will show the strength of the voltage :
BLUE = >12v DC
GREEN = 10.8v - 12v DC
YELLOW = 10v 10.7v DC
RED = 9.4v - 9.9v DC
Current Load Test
1. Using the alligator test leads, connect each clip to the battery being tested.
2. Depending on the application, use the load selection switch to select 0.5A or 1A load.
3. Press and hold the Test Button for approx 3 seconds.
4. The fours LED's
(red, yellow, green, blue) will show the strength of the voltage under load.
Note : For accurate test results, wait 30 seconds between each load test.
Voltage Drop Test
1. Using the alligator test leads, connect each clip to the power source under test.
2. View the four LED's and note the voltage reading.
3. Remove the alligator test leads from the power source and connect them to the wires at
the end of the cable run and note the voltage reading via the four LED's/
The difference between the voltage reading at the souce and the voltage reading at the end
of the cable run will be the voltage drop.
Polarity Checker
Simply connecting the aligator wires across the power wires under test can reveal the polarity.
The RED aligator clip indicates a positive voltage and the BLACK aligator clip indicates a negative voltage. When any of the four LED's
(red, yellow, green, blue) illuminate, the polarity is then correct and the polarity of the wires under test can be identifies using the colour of the aligator clips (RED = Positive, BLACK = Negative).
